Alternative Program: |
SEMO offers two routes to alternative certification.
One, which requires a Temporary Authorization Certificate, is for
persons with a bachelor's degree in the subject area they'd like to
teach. This requires a one-year commitment of both teaching full-time
and coursework and will end in certification. The Provisional Certification
program requires two years of teaching and coursework and is intended
for students who have a bachelor's degree in a subject area other
than what they intend to teach.
