| Missouri needs strong leadership in K-12
education, especially in mathematics and science. Effective teacher-leaders
are committed to improving teaching and learning beyond their own
classrooms. The Leadership Academy is designed to help teacher-leaders
develop the knowledge and skills to be change agents in their schools,
districts, and regions. |

| Expectations of Academy Fellows: |

Attend the 4-day Summer Academy; |

Develop and implement a Leadership Action
Plan during 2007-2008 school year; |

| Who should apply? |

Mathematics and Science teachers, grades 6-12, who
have 5 years or more teaching experience and teacher leadership potential.
