Overview

| The current mathematics and science
teaching workforce is faced with many challenges that constrain quality
teaching and learning. The Institute is designed to give teachers
in their first few years of teaching the support and resources they
need to remain in the teaching profession and improve the teaching
and learning of mathematics and science in Missouri.

| Expectations of Institute Participants:

Attend the 4-day Summer Institute; |
|
|
Develop and implement a Professional Growth Plan; |
|
|
Participate in on-line discussion and
other follow-up activities during the school year, including attendance
at NSTA or MCTM professional meetings. |

Mathematics and Science teachers, grades 6-12, who
have 0-2 years of teaching experience and want to work with other
professionals to improve practice. |
